Drama Syllabus

A theatrical drama syllabus that is designed by professionals to develop the skills in practice and in theory. 

Choices of participants work
Solo – (one person) – where the participant performs alone

Duologue (two people) – where both participants work together and perform their work.- Text / Improvisation

Group (three or more people) – where all participants perform their work – text / improvisation



Subjects
Poetry (Individual / Duologues / Groups)
From a selection, each pupil is given a set piece.  Alternatively participants can create their own within our theme - No foul language is permitted.

Scripts (Solo / Duologues / Groups)
From a selection, each pupil is given a set piece.  Alternatively participants can create their own within our theme - No foul language is permitted.


Improvisation (Solo / Duologues / Groups)
Each participant is given a ‘theme’ that they have to create an acting piece around the theme. Interpreting it as imaginatively as possible



Every participant that completes the syllabus levels will develop skills in
Memory
Interpretation
Character Analysis
Drama Techniques
Performance skills
Theory through practical interpretation
Team work (duologue + groups)




Within the programme participants aim to
Build skills in voice and dictation to suit character
Communicate with sufficient audibility for the performance space
Communicate with sufficient clarity in order to be understood
Build natural movement to suit character and situation
Make their character and situation realistic
Reveal an awareness of the performance space in relation to the text
Create a Character Analysis – This is the Characters background, personality traits, situation (This needs creating from scratch for improvisations – It is provided for ‘text’ work)




Fees
Our Syllabus has fixed fees which are inclusive of training, session plans and support! Therefore you can use the syllabus and enter exams as many times as you wish.

Our package will include information to run the programme

Lesson plans and syllabus material (scripts, poetry, warm up techniques etc)

Copyright costs of the course content

A training session with staff (if required). 

The procedures for outcomes (assessment, examination or performance) - Held at our studios, via internet or Arts2u come out to you
Individual reports and certificates for participants whom completed the course
Assigned distance tutor (who will be able to answer any queries at anytime via phone and email)

£175 – Per Introductory Stage (1, 2, 3)

£250 – Per Grade (1,2,3)

£525 – Per Professional Level (Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced)

£1025 – Per Professional Award (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum)
